All of the young ladies can wear “Studio Makeup”, unless otherwise specified by the teacher. There are many lights on the stage that wash out the dimensions of a person’s 3-dimensional face, making it hard to see their expressions. Adding stage make-up exaggerates the features of the face and helps to show the expressions of the performers from the audience. Overall, it helps to ensure they can be seen and recognized from the back of the audience.
Hairstyles for your performer’s class will be posted in your Parent Portal under the Costumes section.
Hair tutorials can be found on our Website, you can see our Bun Tutorial on YouTube at https://youtu.be/xiRlmj6F-ao

Our Recitals are about 2-2 ½ hours in length and we do not have an intermission. Each Recital has a Finale/Bow (all students are expected to be part of the Finale) at the end of the recital that allows the performers to come together one last time and receive one last applause for the hard work and dedication they put into their performance.
