Meet Kayla Higgins! She is a Rising Star Tumbling and Dance Studio student, Dance Company member and current instructor.
Kayla Higgins is 15 years old, nearing her fourteenth year of dance at Rising Star Tumbling and Dance Studio, and intends to pursue dance as a career.
Kayla has been in dance company for ten years and has also taken part Ballet Repertoire for four years. Kayla has participated in The Nutcracker for the past four years which has included a variety of roles. In 2024 Kayla attended the New Mexico Ballet Summer Intensive and recently attended the Ballet Austin Summer Intensive.
Ever talented and driven, Kayla performed with a self-choreographed contemporary solo at multiple competitions last season. Kayla has created additional dance works for various competitions and performances, and plans on continuing to choreograph and dance in the future, as well as mentor and teach others at the studio.
